“One who daily sings the glories of Yasoda’s son, Krishna, which are cooling as sandalwood and camphor, is not troubled by the days of Kali-yuga. For him at every step there is a torrential flood of the sweetest nectar.”
— Srila Rupa Goswami’s Padyavali Text 42
We’ve just made a donation on the Mayapur Kirtan Mela Fundraiser Downloads website to download this year’s recordings and have prepared day 1 and day 2 of the 2013 Kirtan Mela for streaming on 24 Hour Kirtan Mandali Internet Radio. Days 3 to 5 will follow shortly.
Please note that the recordings are not available in our download archive!
The idea behind their site is to help raise funds so that they can meet the costs of putting on such a large program for free. Still, rather than selling the kirtan recordings, they prefer to offer them to you on a donation basis.
In the download archives you will find the following README text:
We hope you like the contents of this disk/download. These recordings represent the culmination of hundreds of hours of Nama Seva by volunteers from all parts of the globe. By listening to the kirtans preserved here, you’re continuing this offering; and we hope it will reverberate for years to come.
Are you inspired by the fifty plus hours of energetic kirtan recordings? Then please make plans to visit Mayapur for the next Kirtan Mela and immerse yourself in the Holy Names in the company of thousands of kirtan enthusiasts for days on end.
If you haven’t already, we’d also like to encourage you to make a donation so that we can meet the expenses of hosting such a large event every year. This disk/download was intended as a fundraiser. We hope you can kindly reciprocate with our endeavors so that we can continue to serve you in this way. To make a donation, just visit kirtanmela.org or speak to Yasomati Mataji next time you are in Mayapur.
If you’d like to offer your skills in support of Mayapur Kirtan Mela, then contact Yasomati Mataji here.
